The Scientific Committee of the Conference invite all interested Scientists, researchers, technicians and professionals working in the field of Biological Sciences, Biodiversity and Climate Change who want to share an innovation result or field experience to submit an abstract for consideration as oral/ Poster presentation at the Congress. Authors may indicate their topic of preference in which they wish to present their findings. All abstracts will be published and distributed at the Congress.

Guidelines for Abstract submission
The abstract must be in the Microsoft Word format (paper size: A4).
The title of the paper - 16 pt Times New Roman
Name and Address - 14 pt Times New Roman (centred)
The main text - single-spaced, 12 pt Times New Roman
Key words- at the end. 
The number of words- maximum 500

Review of Abstracts
All abstract submissions will be reviewed in terms of quality, impact and relevance to the Conference by subject experts of the Scientific Committee.
Abstracts will be reviewed according to the following criteria:
- The content of the research and or field experience pertaining to one of the session themes of the Symposium;
- The research and/or the field experience show high relevance to Climate Change and Biodiversity for Sustainable Development and Capacity Building
- The abstract is appropriate for a professional audience of Scientists and policy makers in the field of Biodiversity and Climate Change

Note: All presenters are required to register when accepted.

The notification will be directed to the corresponding author by April 15, 2014.
Please prepare the following information when submitting your abstract:

  1. Abstract category - please choose one of the themes listed:
  2. Author or author’s names: name (first name), surname (family name), nationality, profession
  3. Abstract’s Title
  4. Summary - limited to 500 words
  5. Abstracts must use the following structured format:
    • Introduction
    • Materials and Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusions
    • Resolutions and Recommendations
    • Keywords

Guidelines for Paper Presentations

  • Own laptops are not permitted in the conference Rooms.
  • You are requested to send Power Point file to the Secretariat through on-line within the time fixed.
  • The maximum speaking time for oral presentation is 15 minutes (and 5 mins for discussion). This time frame will be strictly adhered to by the session Organizer/Chair.

  • Poster boards are located in Poster Room.
  • All posters will be displayed during the conference days and should be mounted by the presenter.Mounting stickers will be available in the poster room or contact the information desk of the conference.
  • Size of the poster board is 120 cm high and 90 cm wide.

Important notices
  • Submission of abstract implies the willingness of at least one of the authors of the paper to register as delegate on or before March 30, 2015.
  • Papers without, at least, one author registering by April 20, 2015 will be automatically excluded from the conference programme and abstract book.
