MISSION

  • To maintain a global network linking all aspects of natural resources and Biological Sciences by promoting Scientific Research in Natural and Social Sciences including Sustainable Development.
  • To study the Biodiversity in various climatic zones and enhance development of human resources with the prospective of conservation of Biological diversity and sustainable development.
  • To Co-ordinate and Centralize Scientific Expertise on all aspects of Life Sciences by conducting National and International Conferences and Seminars and promote publications in the National, Regional and International dimension so as to broaden the dissemination and communication on knowledge on conservation of biological diversity and sustainable development.
  • To institute and award scholarships for study, research and apprenticeship for the purpose of rendering Philanthropic and Educational services to the public who are living in villages, towns, cities, who suffer from social and economic backwardness and thereby to pave way for their social and economic development.
  • To promote research, development and transfer of technology to improve the life, working condition and opportunities for gainful employment of rural people and women in rural areas and to create a scientific temper amongst them.
  • To develop policies, plans and strategies for research, innovation and enterprise and coordinating the research agenda of different agencies to transform into a knowledge-intensive, innovative and entrepreneurial economy.

Building upon a strong foundation of science, partnership and field demonstration, GSRF empowers societies to responsibly and sustainably care for nature, our global biodiversity, for the well-being of humanity. Keeping in view the above objectives, GSRF would be happy to coordinate with other organizations to promote a strong action at international, national and local levels to mitigate drivers of biodiversity change and to develop adaptive management strategies which could significantly reduce undesirable and dangerous biodiversity transformations if appropriately applied.
